MENEO /me'neo/ means movement, a word commonly associated with the particular way a body moves while walking or dancing. The studio was born from an atypical look at jewelry; a desire to share a lifelong passion for design and geometric shapes while exploring the relationship between balance and form. Moreover, it is a wish to inspire others to de bold.

We are continuously exploring the links between digital processes and analog craftsmanship. MENEO is the combination of movement, balance and form.

MENEO is a design studio founded in 2018 by Gee-Ana Sánchez. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she moved to New York to pursue a Master Degree in Architecture at Pratt Institute. After graduating, she worked in a small architecture firm, where she recognized that the slow reality of the architecture industry did not suit her personality. Gee-Ana missed the speedy nature and experimentation of Architecture School, the creativity involved in Art School, and the everyday craftsmanship that both institutions required. Wanting to design on a smaller scale, she decided to pursue her passion for minimalist design and establish her own practice.
